Picnicking and Swimming

The Waterworks is a great spot for relaxing. It is far enough away from towns and cities that you will notice the absence of urban noise instead all you’ll hear is the sound of people having fun and the pigs squealing for their food.

Scattered all around the The Waterworks grounds are picnic sites and BBQ’s. We are happy for you to bring your own picnic lunch and you can even pack your own sausages and steak as we provide gas BBQ’s for you to cook your own.

People love our swimming hole especially during the summer when it gets up to 30 – 35 degrees centigrade around this area. What better place to cool of than in the natural surrounds of a river.
